Founder of the independent marketing group and creative agency, Gary Thompson and Associates 1993-2018.  Tv, event and a public personality, best known as Chief Encouragement Officer and motivation speaker to aspiring entrepreneurs through numerous functions hosted. Gary Thompson began in his parents ‘garage in 1993, after graduating with a golf scholarship in business marketing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He built his company into Zimbabwe’s largest independent marketing group by 2008, in the process of developing new approaches to marketing that transformed speed to market, marketing integration and sponsorship television.

As a Pioneer of sponsorship TV and numerous winning TV shows from 1993 to 2009, GTA grew to nearly 100 strong until Zimbabwe’s political and economic collapse in 2008. 

Shows included :

• Zimbabwe Open Golf: live
• CBZ, an academy talent show
• Money or the box and
• More recently Simba savanna business.

As a producer and sometimes anchor, each of these shows went to number one in national TV ratings in this period. As importantly, it jettisoned the brands he was managing to massive marketing success from the new platforms.
